With so much negativity in the world, it’s nice to read words that will inspire me rather than discourage me.

When I came out the closet in 1976, my father put me out of his home. That year I attempted suicide twice. I turn 53 this year, and thankful to be alive. My book, The Friendship Train, has allowed me the insight to inspire readers to know it does get better. I never believed I would be able to go to college facing the world as a gay teen, now I have a master’s in education. If you are outraged every time a LBGTQ youth is harassed, beaten or bullied-If it breaks your heart every time you hear the suicide statistics for LGBTQ youth double that of heterosexual youth of the same age, I urge you to share this inspirational story with others.www.sissysammy.com

I am empowered to work with disenfranchised individuals whom have a dream of owning their own micro-enterprises. I am the founding member and the Chief Executive Officer of the ICU AMERICA FOUNDATION. My idea to help unemployed Americans discover viable employment through fun activities has been pre-selected in the PEPSI REFRESH EVERYTHING PROJECT. I am ExCiTeD!!! I am hoping and praying that the ICU AMERICA FOUNDATION make it through to the final selection phase. If so, Please Go -n- Vote @ http://www.pepsirefresheverything.com/icuamerica Thanks, Jacqueline G. Gray
