On Monday April 19, Derek Warburton, stylist and personality on “The Real Housewives of New York City,” collaborated with e.l.f. cosmetics to makeover women of non-profit organization Bottomless Closet NYC.

The mission of Bottomless Closet is to help disadvantaged New York City women become self-sufficient through a comprehensive program that begins with business attire and interview preparation and continues with professional development, financial management and personal enrichment. Using the model of women helping women and a network of dedicated volunteers, Bottomless Closet works to enhance their clients’ self-esteem and self-confidence in order to help them successful enter the workforce and to improve the quality of their lives.

After a short question and answer session with Derek’s team of stylists and e.l.f. Creative Director, Achelle Dunaway, 14 women of Bottomless Closet received one-on-one guidance in picking out work-appropriate clothing and accessories. After choosing garments, the women received makeup advice from the beauty brands own creative lead. Each women left the seminar with not only a gift bag filled with makeup but the self-esteem to help them enter and succeed in the workplace.

    I was there at the event. It was inspiring. These women were so grateful and happy. They have real issues and questions. Derek gave them real advice and tips to help them. Bottomless Closet is an amazing organization that helps spread the love and the beauty that human beings are capable off. I am blessed to a small part of it and thanks for this article.
