Veola Jolly is the founder and creator of Do You Enterprises which emcompasses Do You Austin, a Natural Hair and Holistic Lifestyle Organization, created in August 2009. Veola started the group to bring support and education to those seeking natural alternatives for their hair–however, what she found in the process was the ability to inspire others in multiple avenues.
After moving from from Chicago to Austin in May 2008, Jolly immediately began networking, bringing various entrepreneurs together, offering leadership and guidance to increase their business ventures. Her ability to network lead to a request from Meetup.com headquarters to speak on a panel regarding growth and sponsorship, which lead to the concept for Do You Austin.
By September of 2009, Jolly developed an empowerment series for entrepreneurs that has provided a platform for local businesses through networking programs and she began utilizing her communication skills for natural hair care, which opened the doors to various workshops including Etiquette Classes for Children, Pantry Product Parties, Fitness Boot camps, Writers Workshops, Poetry and Children’s Hair Care meetings, just to name a few.
Using the power of social media, Jolly has a popular Breathe Inspirational series on Facebook. She is continuously called upon to design and train in a variety of online mediums while continuing to bring together local entrepreneurs to Austin.
Jolly’s favorite quote is, “Our deepest fear isn’t that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure, It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? ~ Marianne Williamson.
Who are you to be? Tell us about it!
